Met de komst van de Google desktop search en daarmee de ontdekking van een stukje code daarin dat lijkt te duiden op een nieuw protocol google_im:\/\/ worden de geruchten wel steeds meer concreet.<\/p>\n<p>Een ander sterk argument is dat Google met de aankoop van Picasia al lang een IM tool in huis heeft. Picasia heeft namelijk deze software ontwikkelt genaamd Hello. Verder is het zo dat de geruchten van eerder dit jaar gebaseerd waren op het gegeven dat een van de top medewerkers van het Indiaase bedrijf Geodesic een vroegere medewerker is geweest van Google en met de oprichters van Google zeer bevriend is. Geodesic heeft als product een instant messaging tool genaamd Mundu.<\/p>\n<p>Een van de grote voordelen van Mundu is dat het getest is op een grote schaal.
