Een hoge PR geeft ook een extra stimulans aan de posities binnen zoekmachines. Hierdoor is er een levendige handel ontstaan in het uitruilen van links op websites met een hoge PR. Het is zelfs zo dat sommige sites met een hoge PR deze links verkopen.<\/p>\n<p>Niet altijd hebben deze aankopen effect. Google blijkt in staat te zijn om de overdracht van PR naar een andere gelinkte site te kunnen blokkeren.
