Ook in Rusland stelt Google minder voor. Daar is het marktaandeel bijna gelijk aan dat van ilse in Nederland. Met slechts 16% marktaandeel moet Google het gevecht aan met moloch Yandex. De Russische zoekmachine Yandex heeft een marktaandeel van 52%. Ook de zoekmachine Rambler is groter dan Google. Deze zoekmachine heeft maar liefst een marktaandeel van ruim 21%. <\/p>\n<p>In feite is Google dus de nummer 3 van Rusland. <\/p>\n<p>Yandex is niet zomaar een zoekmachine. In feite biedt zij dezelfde diensten aan als de &#8216;grote&#8217; jongens. Zo kent de Russische Yandex ook een directory, een betaaldienst, een advertentiesysteem Yandex.direct, Nieuws en veel meer.
